EDUCATIONAL & BEHAVIORAL CONSULTING SERVICES

Kolburne has been working successfully with children and young adults on the autism-spectrum for over 60 years. We understand how the system works and what’s involved in getting children with special needs the services and support they need and to which they are entitled.

Our educational and behavioral consulting services are available to schools, educators, agencies, caregivers, and parents of children with autism, and are designed to help all the parties involved assess needs, develop and implement plans and identify the agencies, resources and programs that ensure the child receives the services and support they need to be successful at home and in the classroom.

On a project basis, Kolburne’s education, therapeutic and healthcare professionals can work with parents and schools to administer a Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) to help develop and implement a student’s Behavioral Intervention Plan (BIP); provide classroom and observational assessments to craft a plan for environmental and curriculum modifications; create an ABA action plan; and offer crisis intervention training, staff education training, professional development, and program consulting.

We can also be retained as consultants to help parents navigate the system and advocate for the services they need for their child to thrive and be successful. Services include:
