KOLBURNE'S MODEL OF CARE
Kolburne’s Model of Care consists of a highly
structured, safe, caring and therapeutic setting, where students
are able to achieve their highest potential. Professional staff
members utilize highly individualized positive strength-based teaching
and empowerment techniques to build a solid foundation of character
for each student to stand upon. This foundation allows students
to gain the skills and confidence that will be required throughout
their lives. Kolburne's students learn how to make positive, constructive
choices with confidence while building relationships with adults
and peers. Each student has an overall service plan consisting of
a Clinical Treatment Plan and an Individual Education Plan (IEP).
These individualized plans are based upon student needs.
Kolburne, working in collaboration with each student,
family and agency, utilizes a range of interventions and programs
to ensure that each student achieves individual goals.
