Kolburne's Benefits for Employees
HEALTH INSURANCE: Kolburne offers
health insurance to all full and part-time employees. Our current
health plan is with Health New England. It offers either HMO or
Point of Service plans. We pay 65% of the cost of a single, double
or family plan. Eligibility is after 90 days of employment. Open
enrollment occurs during the month of July.
DENTAL INSURANCE: Kolburne
offers dental insurance to all full and part-time employees. Our
current dental plan is with Altus. We pay 65% of the cost of a single,
double or family plan. Eligibility is after 90 days of employment.
LIFE AND ACCIDENTAL DEATH AND DISMEMBERMENT
INSURANCE: Kolburne provides a non-contributory
policy at no cost to full-time employees. The amount of coverage
is determined by position within the organization. Staff members
are eligible after 90 days of employment.
RETIREMENT: Kolburne offers a 401(k)
plan to all full time employees. Staff members are eligible (and 100%
vested) after one year of employment. We also participate in discretionary
matching contributions.
VACATION: Employees (other than
teachers) receive four or five weeks vacation annually. based upon
position. Additional vacation time is determined on length of service.
Employees can carry over up to 90 hours (from one anniversary to
another). Hours between 40 and 90 may be cashed in on anniversary
dates. Certified or waivered teachers receive 9 weeks of vacation
annually.
SICK TIME: Employees (other
than teachers) receive 6 sick days annually. Teachers receive 11
sick days annually. While sick time may be accrued on an unlimited
basis, it has no cash value upon termination of employment.
PREMIUM PAY HOLIDAYS: Employees
required to work on 8 designated holidays will receive time and
one half or double time for those days.
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT: Employees
(other than teachers) are eligible for college tuition reimbursement
up to 9 credit hours annually. Teachers receive additional credit
hours reimbursement to become certified or to maintain certification.
HEALTH CLUB/FITNESS REIMBURSEMENT:
Kolburne will reimburse 50% of your membership fees up to $30.00
per month.
CARE-BANK: Employees who have experienced
a defined and unanticipated catastrophic injury or event can apply
for up to 4 weeks pay each year, after exhausting all accrued vacation/sick
time. Please refer to the CareBank policy for more details.
ORIENTATION AND TRAINING:
Kolburne provides an 8-day paid comprehensive orientation program.
